     Complaints

ATTENTION ALL YOUNG PEOPLE WHO ARE LOOKED AFTER
BY THE LOCAL AUTHORITY!!!!!

Did you know that if you are not happy with something
you have the right to talk to someone?

If you are not happy don't just "put up" with it.

If nobody knows how you feel, then nothing can change.

You have a right to complain, so use it!

As a looked after young person, everyone has a responsibility to make sure you are OK

WAYS TO MAKE A COMPLAINT

If you don't feel that you can resolve your complaint by talking to your carer or worker, contact the Bolton Children's Rights Service and speak to an advocate. Ring 0800 7313013
or 01204 523784.

Text an advocate - Paula - 07872 675872
or Simone - 07834 006285.

There are lots of reasons why young people complain.

  • Some young people feel that no-one listens to their views or feelings and that people make big decisions without asking what they want.

  • Some young people are not happy with where they are living and want to move.

  • Some young people are having problems at school or have been suspended or excluded.

  • Some young people feel that they are not supported by staff/carers to do activities/hobbies or that they do not see people who are important to them.

There are lots of different people you can talk to, or websites to log on to for help and information. Here is a list of some:
