'The best event I've ever been to!'

This was the resounding comment from many young people and adults who attended the official launch of Voice4U on the 27 February.

Over 300 people attended the launch which was held at the IKON in Bolton, including the Mayor and Mayoress of Bolton who opened the event.

Activities included badge making, face painting, cake decorating, Indian head massage, nail art, computers, mug decorating, theatre and dance, DJ, plus lots more! A mixed buffet of Indian and English food was provided and the chocolate fountains were also very popular!

Every young person went away with a bag full of goodies and several people won great prizes in the draw!

Voice4U is run by a group of looked after young people, with the help of Action4Children, Connexions and Bolton Council staff who are Friends of Voice4U.

Members of Voice4U can represent you and pass on your views about your life in care to people who can make changes, if changes are needed.
