Free Smart Cards for Looked After Children

All Bolton school children will automatically be enrolled on the Smart Card Scheme at school. Looked After Children and Young People will be able to take part in activities at council leisure centres free of charge, and obtain a 70% discount on lessons. If you are caring for children who are not attending school, please contact corporateparentingteam@bolton.gov.uk with the name and date of birth of the child. A letter and application form will be sent to you. You will then need to take the child, letter and application form to the Contact Centre in the Town Hall for a photo to be taken and the form to be processed. No other ID is needed.

Please note that Smart Cards are for leisure activities and money can be put on the card to spend at several outlets in Bolton. Library cards are now separate and you will need to go to your local library to join.
